Beloved Actor The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Roles in Seinfeld and The Middle, Dies at 60 Years Old.
Stateside performer Pat Finn, who appeared in beloved television series such as "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.
The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in LA this Monday following treatment for a cancer diagnosis since 2022, as reported by reports.
"Pat Finn never met a stranger - only friends he hadn't encountered," his family stated in a announcement.
They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive Career on Screen
Finn's first television role was on a show starring George Wendt in 1995, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.
He subsequently landed a regular part on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, playing a social organizer famous for delegating tedious tasks to his guests.
During the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on several popular shows, such as:
- King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- "House"
He was most recognized for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight seasons over nearly a decade.
His work in movies are "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".
A Life in Improv
Beyond his television work, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and also taught at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was involved with a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat taught, supported, and inspired many learners over the years and it would be difficult to find anyone anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his family wrote.
Offering condolences, colleague and actor Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, making those around him better and funnier. A wonderful father and man," Kind wrote on social media.
Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, his children, and his family.
