Outrage Erupts as Trump's Comments on Rob Reiner Spurs Widespread Backlash
Personalities from both sides of the partisan divide and the Hollywood industry are coming together to censure Donald Trump for his statements following the tragic deaths of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele.

Following the discovery of the couple deceased at their Brentwood home, Trump posted on his platform to label the late director as "anguished and suffering". In a message, he asserted Reiner's death was "because of the hostility he caused others through his enormous, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind-crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME".
His comments quickly shifted to praising his own achievements, juxtaposing Reiner's supposed "raging obsession" and "obvious paranoia" with what Trump called the "Golden Age of America".
Police Developments and Arrest
Authorities have since confirmed the detention of the Reiners' 32-year-old son, Nick, on suspicion of homicide in relation to the incident. It is reported his bail was set at a significant amount.
A Wave of Condemnation from Public Figures
The response to Trump's words was swift and harsh.

Media personality Whoopi Goldberg, who called Reiner a friend, also condemned the statements. Goldberg referenced prior comments from Trump regarding political violence, demanding, "Do you have no decency? Can you get any worse?"

Rob Reiner had once shared the story of the photo shoot, mentioning Trump's demand for "special hairspray" as posing on a high-rise overlooking Central Park.
