Salah Offers Statement to Teammates, Says Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the group of players after the controversy from his recent interview.

The striker was dropped from a European match after voicing frustrations and claiming his connection to the head coach had broken down.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
The manager has refused to disclose on whether he was apologised to from the 33-year-old forward.
Moving Forward
Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” the midfielder explained.
Jones also noted that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “I understand there are certain ways you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
On-Field Response
Liverpool's form have remained strong in the period after the interview fallout. The player is convinced the outburst were not designed to harm the team.
“In moments of frustration, it’s always been from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “That chapter is closed and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and on a positive run.”
