Shock as Renowned South African DJ Shot Dead in the City of Johannesburg.
A popular South African media personality and entertainer has been fatally gunned down in the nation's economic hub Johannesburg, sending shockwaves across a nation battling persistent crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was attacked in the downtown area on a Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities reported the 40-year-old media personality was confronted by a trio of assailants, one of whom began shooting at him before fleeing on foot.
The motive behind the attack has not been established and no one has been arrested have taken place, police said.

Law enforcement revealed that Stock was ambushed as he was departing from a premises near the Carlton Centre.
He had been present for hours at the building supervising the implementation of security systems, which had been controversially occupied by unidentified individuals, it was reported.
"It is alleged the victim was confronted by three unidentified men after parking his vehicle, and they began shooting at him before running from the location on foot," a police statement said.
CCTV footage showed a man with dreadlocks and clad in what looked like a security uniform shooting on Stock before making his escape.
The DJ tried to run away after he was hit but collapsed across the street.
Police added that Stock had an weapon on his person and nothing was taken during the incident.
